I came across this article a couple of weeks ago and meant to share it. Christian should be concerned that fewer people are attending church and no longer confessing a genuine faith in the Christian church.

We are clearly at a critical juncture in the life of our church and the Christian faith. It helps to understand the severity of the problem in order to begin addressing the solution. Additionally we need to explore why it is happening so we can develop workable solutions not just band-aids or out-dated practices that no longer draw those who when asked what religion they follow reply “None”.

I do not agree with everything the authors state, however he does articulate the foundational issues which undermine our Christian church today. I offer this, as well as other article to be published latter, as a starting point for discussion. If you do read the entire article please pay close attention to the last sentence. It provides insight toward addressing the issues we face.
